The most incredible part of this suspension system is the way it’s far less active when you’re out of the saddle, roughly 70 percent less travel than when you’re seated. To remove a wheel, all you have to do is undo the thru-axle enough so that the threads are disengaged, and then drop the wheel out. It’s an incredibly effective system in terms of how well it erases road and trail chatter, but especially for larger and/or heavier riders, or riders that run more saddle setback and have jerkier pedal strokes, IsoSpeed can also be prone to unwanted movement even when the road surface is perfectly smooth. The insanely big down tube, the wide-and-flat seat tube, and the broad spaced chainstays all suggest a stout backbone when you start mashing the pedals, and in this case, looks aren’t at all deceiving.
